When thinking of doing some remodeling, keep in mind that there are some remodeling projects that will provide better returns than others at the sale of your home.  To arrive at these figures, Remolding Magazine asked consultants in various markets to estimate the average cost of 30 home improvement projects, from adding a bathroom to replacing a roof.  Then, they asked real estate agents nationwide to estimate the expected resale value of these renovations so that readers could compare their out-of-pocket costs to how much money they'd get back in when it came time to sell the home. The 5 best remodeling projects with the highest return were found to be:

1.  Attic Insulation (fiberglass)   Job Cost is estimated at $1,268 on average and generally will return about (on average) $1,482 or 116.9% at sale

2. Manufactured Stone Veneer  Job Cost is estimated at $7,519 on average and generally will return $6,988 (on average) in value or 92.9%

3.  Garage Door Replacement Job Cost is estimated at $1,662 on average and generally will return $1,512 in value or 91.5%

4.  Entre Door (Steel) Replacement  Job Cost is estimated at $1,335 on average and generally will return $1,217 in value or 91.1%
